Plant and origin
Pu-Erh Tea originates from the south eastern part of China (Yunnan) which is the historical origin of the tea. It is known since the Tang dynastie (907 – 618 b. Chr.)
This typical tea is a traditional product which is called "Red Tea" in the country of origin. The older the tea is, the better it’s quality would be evaluated.
For over 2000 years the tea is famous for positive effects on the functionality of the human body.
Processing and appearance
For the raw material, only young leaves are processed. It undergoes a special process of after-fermentation which is a guarded secret in the country of origin.
The tea is of a medium to dark brown colour and of a dark brown liquoring cup. It’s smell and taste is particular mouldy to earthy but mild.
